When you add your printer to an HP account, you may see an invalid code message when using an incorrect printer code, or if the printer has already been requested by another HP account.
Make sure your printer is not already included in another HP account.
If the printer is not connected to another account, print another print information page to create a new printer code, and then try to add the printer again.
If the printer is linked to another account, you can remove it from that account and add it to your account or use the credentials of the other account when you sign in to the HP Smart App.
